Ready for my Close-up

I decided to attempt a close-up of Alf's head, from a photo I'd taken in 2021.

Day 1 24/04/2022

One thing I learned from Painting by Numbers is - "start with the eyes"

Day 2 - 09/05/2022

then, move on to the nose

Day 3
12/05/2022

Spent a wobbly morning at painting group today. I had severe hand tremors.  Don't know if it was because of 'the incident' that happened last week, or the very early breakfast, or my therapy session yesterday.

I took cakes in for the members of the group, to thank them for being so kind and caring.

I'm pleased with the progress on Alf's new portrait "I'm Ready for My Close-Up", but was whacked after an hours' work. I concentrated on the blue parts of the head.

Day 4 16/05/2022

Coming along nicely, one day at a time.

Day 5, 6, 7

Finished the painting at the caravan, in Suffolk. Really enjoyed painting in the shade.

Left it in the shade to dry.

Kept it in the caravan to make sure it was fully finished.

It is.

Varnished it yesterday.

Now to chose where it is going to live
